“Night” – Thursday Photo Challenge

 

Every year since 1949, Saks Fifth Avenue’s holiday windows have delighted children and adults alike, and this year will be no exception. Inspired by Saks Fifth Avenue’s new children’s holiday book, A Flake Like Mike, written by Emmy-award-winning Simpsons writer Mike Reiss and illustrated by artist Chris Capuozzo. The theme of the windows is individuality, and unique mechanical snowflakes with human characteristics will captivate shoppers who come to see the story of “Snowflake City.”

The Snowflake Spectacular illuminated Fifth Avenue with its brilliant LED-light show choreographed to a modern version of “Carol of the Bells” the building features 72,000 energy efficient lights and 50 decorative snowflakes reaching 10 stories high.

It was quite a spectacular sight to see.  It really got me into the holiday season.
