MrD and I found another delicious spot for Korean fried chicken. BBQ Chicken misleadingly makes you think of barbeque, but the name in fact stands for Best of the Best Quality in Chicken. The chicken is cooked in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and there are a few different options/flavors to choose from. Tonight we tried the Teri-Gold Wings (chicken marinated in a delicious secret teriyaki mixture), BB Wings (which are sauceless hot wings), and for the kids we ordered them the Olive Nuggets (which were more like chicken strips). For sides, we had Waffle Fries and the customary cubed radishes. There is a definite crunch that can be heard when you bite into these savory wings, and it’s true that the tenderness of the meat is perfectly maintained. It is recommended to call your order in advance as all orders are made fresh. Though it is not to be forgotten that BBQ Chicken is a fast food joint, so don’t expect to dine in. BBQ Chicken boasts to be in 37 countries and have 3500 locations and we are thrilled that one of those locales happen to be a 15 minute drive from our house.
